We are delighted that Caitlin McCleary, one of our former Year 13 students, won an award for her performance in the 2018 Salters Advanced Chemistry exam. She recently attended the Salters’ Institute Awards Ceremony on Friday 7 December 2018, an evening celebrating high levels of excellence within the science education sector. Year 13 Biologists visited the Centre for Life on Monday/Tuesday this week to carry out an analysis of one of their own genes. The students isolated DNA, and carried out PCR and a restriction digest before carrying out gel electrophoresis in order to work out which alleles they have.
