To celebrate International Women’s Day last week, a group of our Year 10 girls had the opportunity to visit the Hexham office of Vattenfall UK, one of the world’s leading wind power developer and operators. Over 100 students took part in a challenging but highly enjoyable set of workshops with the American folk choir, Northern Harmony. These young and exciting musicians shared songs from a wide range of cultures and languages, and then – having really impressed our students with their energetic and skilled performances – went on to share those skills in very effective

Our German exchange students and their exchange partners have been on a trip to Edinburgh today. This year marks the 10th anniversary of our exchange with the Steinhagener Gymnasium!

A brilliant result for our U15 boys rugby team recently: in the County Cup tier final, which took place on Tuesday 26 February 2019, they beat St Cuthbert’s 69 – 24. Fantastic score, well done boys!
Eight of our Year 10 students participated in the latest Maths Feast, a competition held at Northumbria University where teams of students test their maths skills with an all-you-can-eat feast of problems! Our students came joint second place which is a fantastic result! Well done to all involved!
