Medical Mavericks- Human Guinea Pig Show

We were delighted to have Tom from Medical Mavericks present the “Human Guinea Pig” show to year 9, 10, and 12. Tom introduced us to loads of Healthcare science careers, from vascular science to ophthalmology to medical engineering. We saw how heart rate dopplers, ultrasounds, ECGs, and ophthalmoscopes can me used to monitor the human body, with plenty of volunteers taking part.  Students

Scotty’s Day: Fundraising Update

Earlier this year, the PE Department hosted ‘Scotty’s Day’ in memory of our former Head of PE at QEHS, Chris Scott. First Aid Training

Our year 12 sport leaders and sport diploma students were fortunate to attend emergency first aid training this week. The training was delivered by the North East Ambulance Service. Girls Football

On Friday, a combined Year 9 and 10 girls’ team took part in a football festival in Newcastle. They came away with one win, two draws and two losses, but their performance was fantastic, particularly with several players stepping up a year. They represented the school superbly.
