The Y10s have progressed to the final of the Knight Stokes Cup after beating Kings at Tynemouth CC on Tuesday. Kings batted first and were all out for 83 from 15 overs. QEHS competed at the famous Durham Regatta this weekend. The Durham Regatta dates back to 1834 and is the second-oldest regatta in England after Chester, predating the Henley Royal Regatta by five years. We had a large number of athletes competing across a range of categories, making for a long day full of complex organisation. The coaches deserve great credit
During REA week, year 10 students visited Walltown Country Park to complete fieldwork for their Biology/Combined Science GCSE studies. They used random sampling to estimate the number of willow plants in an area, followed by systematic sampling looking at the change in biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors as you move out of a wooded area. A squad of 12 from Tynedale won the SG Petch U14s 7s Championship on Sunday. The squad of 12 included QEHS Y9 pupils Cameron S, Henry H, Isaac M, Callum W, Devin R, George W, Joseph A and Lewis B. The team went undefeated, winning all games, and won a very competitive final 20-15. It marks another great success for
