Sicily Day 4 & 5
In their final days in Sicily, sixth form students visited the island of Vulcano, where they trekked up to the crater, steaming with sulphur. They ended the trip with some coastal swimming, heated by the geothermal waters of a hot spring. They return to Hexham today with pockets filled with volcanic rocks. #Respect #Engage #Aspire

Sicily Day 1 to 3

Thanks to the support of parents and Tynedale Harriers, last week, QEHS students attended the English School’s 1st Round of the Cross Country Teams Event. In Memory Of Holly
In memory of Holly This week a plaque was unveiled in memory of Holly Newton. Holly was a student at the high school who was murdered in 2023. Students at QE contributed to the creation of the plaque through their artwork which was inspired by Holly’s memory. They were there on Thursday for the unveiling.
Samling Singing Schools
Our Samling Singing Schools project is now underway with over 50 students taking part. The students will be receiving tuition from Samling artist and tutor Miranda Wright and in the first session learned some breathing and posture techniques as well as how to add some energy into their singing.
