Rowing – National School Championships

QEHS rowers competed at the National School Championships at the beginning of the half term holiday. Nat Schools is held at Eton Dorney Lake, the venue for the 2012 London Olympics. Support Workshop

Support workshops for parents and carers of children who display traits associated with, or have a diagnosis of, a neurodevelopmental condition including autism, sensory processing, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or Foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). A diagnosis is not needed. HINT ASD drop in sessions throughout June.

Year 9 Drama technical theatre design workshops:

QEHS year 9 year group have been finishing their KS3 drama lessons with some workshops which explored costume, lighting and set design. In the costume design workshop, students rose to the challenge of using a ‘lucky dip’ bag, where they had to use every item to design their new character of ‘half human/half ogre’! Derwent Valley Allstars Success

A Cheerleading group of Y9 and Y10 students called the ‘Derwent Valley Allstars, ’ which includes five of our students, was awarded a place at The Summit, the most prestigious competition on the globe, thanks to their fabulous competition results here in the UK. Rowing – Wansbeck

A small group of Y9 and 10 QEHS Rowers travelled to Wansbeck to compete on Saturday.  This is an ideal event for rowers new to side by side Regatta racing. Yr 12 Geography trip to Ouseburn

Our year 12 geography students have just completed their first familiarisation trip to the Ouseburn in Newcastle. They have started the process of designing an investigation to research for their A-level coursework.
