A fond farewell to our amazing, super talented Yr13 fine artists. We had a well-deserved tea party to celebrate the end of the course . We are incredibly proud of ALL the A-level Fine Art, Graphics & Photography students this year. They have been working tirelessly on their amazing exhibitions. A final practice walk last week for our Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award participants, taking a 10-mile loop to Warden Hill.
Alastair Campbell visited the school today to talk to students about the importance of being engaged with politics. His talk was interesting and varied and he also fielded lots of insightful and sometimes challenging questions by the students. Alastair is in the area thanks to the Hexham Book Festival and will be appearing at the Queen’s Hall this evening. #Respect
This Thursday Year 12 Geography students went on a day of fieldwork to the coast. They learned about how physical processes are being altered by coastal management at Newbiggin and Blyth, and the impact that it has had on those communities.
