World Book Day 2020

To celebrate World Book Day 2020 (5 March), we held two events: a Book Swap and a Book-Themed Bake Off. More great news from QEHS Rowing; two ex-QEHS rowers have been selected for the 2020 Oxford v Cambridge Lightweight Boat Race Crews. Nick Ryan, studying Mathematics at University College, Oxford, has been selected for a second year after being in the winning crew last year (third from left in the below photo). Tynedale Lions Excellence Awards

On 24 February 2020, the Tynedale Lions held their Young People’s Excellence Awards at the Beaumont Hotel in Hexham. The Lions invited nominations of young people for these awards and received 19 applications, most of which came from QEHS and Hexham Middle School. Out of all of the nominations, the Lions chose four of our students to receive the awards:
