Mathematics Olympiad
Congratulations to the sixth form students who achieved outstanding results in the Girls’ Maths Olympiad. Lara B and Imogen W (Y12) achieved a merit and a distinction, respectively. Basketball Success!
Y11 boys recently represented the school basketball team at a competition at St Cuthbert’s. This week saw the annual debate between the debate club and the green club. The motion was: This House would fine people for not recycling. The speeches on both sides were excellent with some insightful comments in the floor debate. Sad News
We are very sad to report that Neil Morrison, former Federation Headteacher across QEHS and HMS, passed away on Wednesday morning. It was unexpected and has come as a real shock. As well as being a thoroughly nice person, Neil was an excellent leader of the schools, having previously been deputy headteacher and headteacher of QE. He was also headteacher
