The high school are delighted to once again be listed as one of the top schools in the north east. This year we have moved back to 2nd place and are still the highest placed school in Northumberland. Two thirds of our A Level results were A*-B in 2023. We are also pleased to have moved up 20 places to 239
Sixth form students attended the A Level politics conference in Westminster Methodist Hall, London. They heard from Chris Bryant, Ed Davies, Emily Thornberry, Jess Philips, Jeremy Corbyn, Jacob Rees-Mogg and others. On Tuesday afternoon a group of Year 9 students travelled to Manchester. First stop was a visit to the National Football Museum, with four galleries to explore, interactive games and an opportunity for photos with the Premier League and Women’s Super League trophies.We then headed to the Etihad Stadium to experience Manchester City v RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The Year 12 Fine artists are creating sustained observational skull drawings from life. They have really enjoyed the challenge and have produced some fantastic work! They are now experimenting with innovative techniques to develop the initial studies further.
