LRC – Spooky Season
Visit the LRC for spooky, scary stories for Halloween! Carole has created a fantastic display to showcase books that reflect the spooky season. Year 9 Boys Football
Despite playing way below their best the Year 9 boys managed to win 4-2 away at Bede Academy. The goals were scored by Charlie H, Lucas P, Dan C & Hugh A. A good start to the season with 2 wins from their first 2 games. #Repsect #Engage #Aspire
Year 10 Netball
The Year 10 Netball team represented QE in the U16 country Netball tournament. The girls demonstrated great teamwork and played some excellent netball in very windy conditions. Well done! #Respect #Engage #Aspire
Year 9 & 10 Rugby
Year 9 and 10 students travelled to Cramlington to play another set of 7 a side fixtures. Both teams demonstrated excellent respect for each other and the opposition. Goals from Maisie and Rose B. Well played everyone! #Respect #Engage #Aspire
Rugby Tournament – Kingston Park
Some students took part in a varsity style rugby tournament against Ponteland High School on Friday the 18th of October. Around 110 students between the ages of 11-18 played in 5 different games at the Newcastle Falcons ground at Kingston Park. Students performed outstandingly well in all the games, which made for a fantastic day of rugby. Well done to
Rotary Competitions
The Rotary competitions give participants the chance to express themselves through art, photography and writing, the competitions are run over three stages, club level, district and culminating in the national final. The theme for 2024-25 is ‘Wonderful Water’ The competition is open to three age groups:• Junior Up to 10 years• Intermediate 11 – 13 years• Senior 14 – 17
Parent Workshop – Zones of Regulation
You are invited to join us to find out more about ‘The Zones of Regulation’ – a strategy to support your child’s emotional wellbeing. The session will be held at HMS on Thursday 7th November, at 5.30pm. We use this strategy in school already and we’ll be building this into our curriculum with the whole school this year. We’ll also

LAMDA Success
Our first cohort of LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) students received their gold medals and certificates for their highly successful results for public speaking and acting. (Grade 8 Gold Awards). The students worked very hard and should be very proud of their achievements. For public speaking, Ben developed and delivered 2 speeches as well as an impromptu
