The North East Solicitor Apprenticeship (NESA) provides an opportunity for those seeking to qualify as a solicitor to kickstart a legal career with a law firm or organisation’s inhouse legal team whilst studying a Higher Apprenticeship (which leads to a Level 7 qualification) at Northumbria University.

Paralegal Apprenticeship

Norton Rose Fulbright – 6th February 2025, 9.30am-12.30pm

We are hosting an NE1 CAN event at the Norton Rose Fulbright Quayside office. This is an opportunity to explore the company, speak to existing Paralegals, gain insight and understanding of what the job is, the realities of day-day life at Norton Rose Fulbright and find out about the application process alongside giving young people the opportunity to have conversations and ask questions.

From 12 – 12:30, post event, students will be invited to have pizza with the staff for informal networking to help aid 1:1 discussions and, as the students are 16+ they are welcome to attend individually.

This event is suitable for students in Year 13 who are interested in pursuing a career within the legal sector through the apprenticeship route.

The Northumbria Careers Showcase will showcase a variety of career paths within the healthcare sector, allowing individuals to explore different roles and learn about the qualifications and skills required to pursue a fulfilling career in healthcare.  Schools will be able to attend between 9 and 3pm with KS4 and 5 students, then open to the public from 3 to 6pm. Apprenticeships are advertised all year, so there is no right or wrong time to apply for an apprenticeship.

In a typical week, you’ll spend four days at work and one at university, college, or a training provider.
