The Tenth Avenue Band Presents A World of Music
This accessible session is a celebration of music from around the globe and is aimed at anyone who has an interest in world music and has at least some basic facility on their instrument.
While a knowledge of a few scales and some basic technique are certainly enough to access the session, intermediate players and professionals are welcome too!
The music on offer is accessed by whole communities and is best played this way!
The repertoire will include music from,

● Netherlands
● Colombia
● South Africa
● USA
● Jamaica
and more….
A World of Music will be a 3hr session comprised of 2 halves – with an informal opportunity to look at parts at 7pm before getting stuck into a massed jam session at
8.30pm. Ticket holding participants will have access to scores and audio of the selected tracks so that you can prepare ahead of the session.
Tenth Avenue Band are currently running a recruitment process and are looking for new members to attend our weekly rehearsal sessions and gigs and this is a great opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ or just come down for an exciting session where you can meet and jam with other players!
