Magnus competed at the Keely Klassic in the U17 800m and won the race, beating the current Scottish champion in a time of 1:53.66.
As a result of winning he and his coach were invited to the VIP area where he met and chatted with Keely Hodgkinson, Olympic 800m champion and mixed with other current and former Olympians, including Molly Caudrey, Georgia Bell, Denise Lewis and Steve Cram.
