Our first cohort of LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) students received their gold medals and certificates for their highly successful results for public speaking and acting. (Grade 8 Gold Awards).
The students worked very hard and should be very proud of their achievements. For public speaking, Ben developed and delivered 2 speeches as well as an impromptu speech which he received a high distinction for, gaining 30 UCAS points not to mention the skills for life in public speaking. Our three acting students; Sam, Ella and Matthew, delivered high Merit and Distinction standard performances in 3 monologues of different styles and eras.
We will continue to offer the Public Speaking pathway as part of our enhancement options, so any interested students should speak to our sixth form team, or Mrs Pollock for further information on this excellent opportunity for those who have skills in speaking in public or who wish to develop their speech and oracy skills.
