Our sixth form BTEC and A-level Biologists are having a fantastic time this morning taking part in a “Mini Medics” workshop. Activities include using an ECG machine, using an ultra sound machine to find out if their bones are still growing, and taking fake blood from a phlebotomy arm. They are expanding their horizons in terms of the available careers in the healthcare sector, learning material that will help them in their exams, and getting an experience that will set them above the rest in their UCAS applications. We still have some places available in the year 10 and 11 workshops tomorrow- please contact rfraser@qehs.net if you want to know more.
