Last Wednesday, a group of Y10 and Y11 students took a trip to Sheffield City Hall to see some guest speakers at GCSE Science Live!
They were given handy tips and tricks on how to tackle tricky science questions in their GCSEs by an examiner and got to see a range of scientists talking about their research. From engaging Chemistry demonstrations and Where Chemistry Can Take You by nano-man himself, Dr Tim Gabriel, to How Laughter Transcends Across Different Species by Prof Sophie Scott. They even got a chance to hear Prof Robert Winston talk all things fertility and IVF and if time travel really is possible by Prof Jim Al-Khalili. All students were super engaged and represented the school brilliantly.
