What a fantastic trip the year 11 drama students experienced last Wednesday; we took them to see the amazing musical Blood Brothers in Theatre Royal, Newcastle. The students were blown away by both the venue (we had excellent seats in the Grand Circle) and the performance, which was filled with incredible moments of humour, song, dancing and jump scares at the end which made us all visibly jump and gasp! The tragic ending also had all of us teachers in tears, and one or two of the students! It was wonderful to see our students, many of whom have not been able to get to watch enough live theatre over the past few years, experience the joy of a show like this. I was so proud of how well they behaved, representing the school with maturity and positivity.
We will go back with more students very soon!
