We had great success at the U14 Girls County Ruby Tournament yesterday with a very strong Y8&9 team. The girls were amazing in awful weather and on the wettest pitches which made for some spectacular sliding tries!
In the first game against Blyth we won 9-1 with tries from Abby A(2), Charlotte A(2), Tiana (2) Lucy C, Evie N, and Maisie H.
We continued strongly in the second game against Ponteland B team, winning 10-1 despite taking players off to try and even up the game! Fantastic tries from Lucy C (2), Isla M (3), Ava S (2), Abby A (2) and Lucy Mc.
The third game was a lot more evenly matched as Ponteland A has a number of Tynedale players. We won 6-4 with tries from Charlotte A (2), Tiana, Evie N, Lucy C and Abby A.
The girls played with smiles on their faces the whole time despite being wet through and chilly – an absolute credit to the schools.
