The Mark Jon Bolderson Percussion Foundation will be running its 2nd Drum Festival, ‘Drum Festival Mark 2’, online this February half term w/c Monday 15th February.

Most sessions will either be on their YouTube page or by Zoom sessions. Sessions will include:
George Hutton – will be running a beginners kit course with a session a day.
Geoff Hutchinson – will be running an intermediate kit course with a session a day and also a beginners session of Djambe, African drumming
Will Lang – beginners Bodhran, Irish drumming
Owen Gunnell – will perform and give a talk on preparing to study percussion at higher education.
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – percussion department showreel and Steve Reich Electric Counterpoint.
Corp of Army Musicians – percussion masterclass
Andrew Lisle – jazz drumming
Michael Spearman – rock drumming
Jack – learning ‘Tendinitis’ by Luke Holland
You don’t have to register to take part, just tune in and join in!! Adults welcome!!
There is also the chance to purchase a practice pad and set of sticks for just £19.99, in collaboration with Drum Shop. So if you would like to purchase one just get in touch through the above website and facebook links or via email: mjbpercussionfoundation@gmail.com.
Also, if you know of any youngster that you think would benefit from taking part but perhaps couldn’t afford the pad and sticks to play along, then please also get in touch to nominate them as they have 10 sets to give away!
