To celebrate World Book Day 2020 (5 March), we held two events: a Book Swap and a Book-Themed Bake Off.
Mrs Curry commented that the cakes were incredible and the book swap also seemed to be a big hit. We will shortly have a total of the money raised during the day!
The cake competition results were as follows:
- First Place: ‘Animal Farm’ by Hannah Forster – £10 book token
- Second Place: ‘Charlie & the Chocolate Factory’ by Katie Payne – £5 book token
- Third Place: ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Miss Prince

Our staff have also filled in ‘What are you reading’ signs and displayed them on the doors of their classrooms/offices, as a way of raising the profile of reading around school.
