The three week 10 for 10 challenge is now over and our students have raised some fantastic amounts for lots of very worthy charities. Here is a summary:
Year 9
Year 9 have been supporting the following charities: Tynedale Hospice, Cancer Research UK, The Teenage Cancer Trust, The Trevor Project Inc, Wag and Company and Oddballs charity.
Together they have raised an amazing £422.61!
Special mentions:
9HAM raised £115 for Wags and Co. by walking a collective total of 3.4 million steps (1,777 miles!) over ten days, the distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End and back.
9KAD, 9HAM and 9WPY decided to walk every morning during form time in order to reach the goal of 10,000 steps. The first form to 10,000 steps was the winner and the winning class was 9KAD!
Well done Year 9!
Year 10
Year 10 have been supporting the following charities: Tynedale Hospice, Mind, Kidney Research UK, Gateway into the Community, Dementia UK, The Teenage Cancer Trust, The British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and the Dragonfly Cancer Trust.
Together they have raised an incredible £913!
Special mentions:
Jake Perrie 10 CRC completed his own 10 for 10 challenge, running 10 miles every day for 10 days. He has raised £480 for Tynedale Hospice – the most raised throughout the whole school!
Well done Jake!
10 BCS ended up walking 145 miles more than we needed to!
Year 11
Year 11 have raised £50 for Tynedale Hospice.
