It has become a QEHS custom over the years to have a ‘charity day’ on the last day of term. Sadly, this year we cannot come together physically. However, we are still keen to do something and have designed a virtual charity day instead. We hope you will be able to join in and help us raise some money for our three nominated charities. These are:
- Local – Tynedale Hospice
- National – Sands
- International – Tacheddirt water project, Morocco (visited by students on the Morocco trips).
We have created a range of ‘stalls’ that students can access, which you can find by following the link here, and include:
- Guess the number of sweets in the jar
- Guess the face behind the mask
- Match the truth to the teacher
- Help us summit Everest – altitude challenge
- Whose beard is that?
- Whose pet?
- “Best cake” competition
- Send a selfie for “uniform day” (rather than non-uniform day!)
Details of the stalls can be viewed from Wednesday evening, and will open from Friday lunchtime.
To help us support the nominated charities, we kindly ask if you could make a donation. We have set up a “Charity Day” payment on the School Gateway system, with a minimum value of £1. Any donation made will be gratefully received.
Montages of the photo submissions for relevant stalls (e.g. Best Cake) will be posted online, including the school Facebook page, the Art Instagram account and the school website. Please make sure that you are happy for your child’s photo to be used in this way before submitting it.
Many of these stalls will result in a winner being picked (at random from all correct responses if necessary), and prizes will be distributed once we return to school.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support.
