Unifrog

Unifrog is an online platform that supports schools to deliver their statutory duty to provide students with impartial and independent guidance on the full range of post-school options. The platform is particularly helpful because it is the only place students can compare every undergraduate course in the UK as well as international opportunities. Additionally, the Unifrog platform allows students to access Further Education courses and the most comprehensive list of apprenticeships available across the country, including higher, school leaver and degree apprenticeships.

Once students have explored their interests and compared the full range of pathways available to them, Unifrog provides one place for students to draft all materials needed for applications such as CVs or Personal Statements.

All students in Years 9 to 13 have access to this website, in keeping with our commitment to provide students with outstanding careers guidance and tailored support when choosing their next step after school.

Unifrog Login

To log in for the first time, students need to search for the welcome email sent to their school email address and follow the instructions. Students will set-up their own password and then login using their school email address. If students forget their password, they can reset it from the Unifrog login page which they should use to access the website.

Our Region Your Future

To delve deeper and find out more about different job roles, sectors and professions, as well as the different responsibilities you can expect for each of these, along with average annual salaries or weekly hours worked, you should access the following widget. During your time as a pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School, this resource will be referred at key moments including National Careers Week.

Careerometer - LMI for All

The Careerometer widget, shown below, provides access to a selection of headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects. The widget can be used to explore and compare key information about occupations to support the process of identifying potential careers – simply type the title of the job you’re interested in to start!

MyPath Resources

If you want to learn a little more about certain career roles and their related LMI, why not access some short videos. Take the time to watch one every week.  During the tutorial programme, you will be provided with a Job of the Week. These are shared with all year groups as we believe it is important for all pupils to have knowledge of different job roles from an early age. 

Global Bridge

We provide our students with the opportunity to create on online profile through the Global Bridge platform. We would like our students to be able to ‘stand out from the crowd’, and this platform allows them to connect with employers, training and education providers and search for potential work experience opportunities.  Students are able to create their own unique profile (like an online CV) and share this with others. The profile that they create will stay with them indefinitely as they progress beyond Queen Elizabeth High School. Audio-visual evidence can be uploaded to each student’s profile, capturing all the different pieces of personal development and extracurricular activities. We believe that this platform helps our students to live out the school’s values of respect, engage and aspire.

Useful Links for Gap Years

  • Aventure (AV): offers opportunities lasting from 3 weeks to 5 months in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The 3-5 month ventures include projects such as sports coaching, community volunteering, conservation, travel and adventure, and the 3-5 week ventures include community projects, adventure activities and safaris.
  • British Exploring Society: If you join one of their unique expedition programmes you will be prepared for the remote locations you will be exploring and the challenges you will face. You will acquire outdoor skills and learn about yourself- as well as undertaking projects which are relevant to your lives and the fragile environments you will be exploring.
  • Camp America: offers the chance to spend a summer in the U.S.A. living and working either with children or ‘behind the scenes’ as support staff on an American Summer Camp.
  • Madventurer: offers Volunteer Projects and Placements in Africa, Asia, Latin American and the South Pacific. Madventurer’s aim is to assist local communities in developing countries through the volunteer projects and placements, whilst enabling volunteers to gain life-changing experiences through cultural integration, challenge and adventure. Community Teaching and Building projects are set in small rural villages and stunning locations in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Peru, Thailand, India and Fiji. The group live and work together to build and/or teach in the local community focusing on youth development and the provision and improvement of health, education and sanitation facilities.
  • Project Trust: offers full one year volunteer projects around the world. They have an excellent preparation and training programme and we have consistently excellent feedback from students who have volunteered with them.
  • The Year in Industry (YINI): gives students the chance to gain a years’ paid work experience before starting university. Businesses offer challenging projects for students to work on and feedback from students who have taken part has been excellent.
  • Year Out Group: provides a total reference for all you need to plan your gap year. The group includes 40 gap year organisations that provide a wide range of gap year programs in over 90 countries.
