Paris 2026 Day 1

Our French students started their trip to Paris in the Montmartre district, visiting the Sacré-Cœur, enjoying the cafés and shopping for souvenirs. In the afternoon, we sat in the sun in the Jardin du Luxembourg, and our ‘Emily in Paris’ fans visited the filming locations. We have had a great first full day in Madrid! We started off with a guided tour of the city, taking in lots of famous landmarks. Y10 Cricket

Last night the Y10’s played their first game in the new state school national cricket competition – the Knight Stokes cup v Ponteland. We won the coin toss and put Ponteland into bat. They made 93 for 3 wickets off 20 overs with Sonny S (Y9) being the pick of the bowlers with 1 wicket for 10 runs off 4

Student Success

Cory in Y9 took part in the Tier 2 Five Nations Junior Roller Derby National Championship in Edinburgh this weekend, where his team, Newcastle Junior Roller Derby, competed against Orkney Juniors and Southern Allstars Juniors (London). They won both their games, winning gold, and Cory was awarded MVP and Captains Choice. Cory is also training with Team GB Junior Roller
